Oval Diamond Engagement Ring
A 4.84ct stunning lab-grown diamond chosen for its perfect cut, polish and symmetry
My client wanted a big, bold and impressive engagement ring. He loved oval diamonds and the idea of the tapered baguette shoulders. He was open to the idea of a lab-grown diamond as the central feature and I chose this stunning oval. E colour, VS1 clarity. An absolutely exquisite and unusual engagement ring created in platinum.
8.14ct Fancy Yellow Diamond Ring
An extraordinary diamond engagement ring bringing together two countries and one very special love story.
She was from Canada. He was from Australia. And when it came to creating her engagement ring, the provenance of the diamonds was particularly important to them both. We sourced a magnificent 8.14ct Fancy Intense Yellow radiant-cut diamond from the Ekati Diamond Mine in Canada's Northwest Territories, complemented by beautiful white diamonds from Australia.
Two countries, brought together in one extraordinary ring. What a privilege to have created something so personal.
Elegant Brilliant-Cut
An elegant, classic design created using an exceptional 1.50ct brillant-cut diamond.
The beauty of bespoke is this ring design held secrets - a hidden gemstone set beneath the setting, two hand-engravings to the inside of the band and a beautiful intertwined claw design.
And of course, she said yes!

FAQS
Engagement ring questions
-
No. Many people begin with only a sense of what feels right. Christopher will explain the differences between natural diamonds, laboratory-grown diamonds and coloured gemstones, show how each choice affects the look of the ring and help you decide with confidence rather than guesswork. -
Yes. Choosing the gemstone and the setting together is a central part of the commission. Christopher talks you through shape, size, colour and how the setting holds and frames the gemstone, considering how the ring will be worn every day as well as how it looks.
-
Yes. Each engagement ring is designed for the person who will wear it, not adapted from a catalogue. The proportions, gemstone, metal and details are developed with you, so the finished ring reflects the two of you and the way it will be worn.
-
Consultations take place at Christopher’s studio in Windsor House, Cornwall Road, Harrogate, by appointment. If you would like to talk first, call 07940 295070, email chris@christopherstoner.com or message Christopher on WhatsApp to arrange a time that suits you.
-
Timing varies with the design and the gemstones involved, so it is best to begin as early as is practical. Ideally we need around 6-8 weeks to create a unique engagement ring. If you have a proposal date or occasion in mind, mention it in your first conversation. Christopher will discuss whether the timescale is realistic before you commit to anything.
-
You review the proposed design and the chosen gemstones and materials before anything is made. Work begins only once you are happy to proceed. The approval stage is there so you can ask questions, request changes and feel certain about the ring before it goes into making.
What shall we make?
You do not need a finished idea, a conversation is enough
