BESPOKE JEWELLERY DESIGNER | HARROGATE
From first conversation to finished jewellery
You do not need a finished design to begin. Christopher guides the decisions with you, from the initial idea to an approved design and a piece made in England.
From conversation to finished piece
HOW IT WORKS
Stage 1
Conversation
We begin with the person, occasion or idea behind the piece. You do not need a finished design, just a reason to begin.
Stage 2
Design
Christopher develops the idea with you, considering proportion, wearability, metal, gemstones and the details that will make it personal.
Stage 3
Selection & Approval
You review the proposed design and chosen materials before anything is made. Work begins only when you are happy to proceed.
Stage 4
Making & Presentation
Your approved design is made in England, then checked and presented to you as a finished piece created for you.
DESIGN DISCOVERY
Finding the right direction
Begin with the person, the occasion and how the piece will be worn. Bring photographs, sketches or jewellery you like if they help explain your idea.
REFINEMENT AND APPROVAL
Decisions made together
Christopher develops the design and guides the choice of gemstones, precious metal and proportions. You receive a clear quotation and approve the design before making begins.

Pieces I’ve had the privilege to make
40Ct Diamond Bracelet
A stunning double-band bracelet created with D-colour, flawless diamonds
I had always wanted to create a magnificent double-row diamond bracelet with D flawless diamonds. So when a client approached and asked for ideas for his wife’s 40th birthday, I suggested this. It was an incredible piece and a creation I’m hugely proud of.
With over 30 years of experience in fine jewellery, I combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
8.14 Fancy Intense Yellow
Two people, two countries and one very special love story.
She was from Canada. He was from Australia. When it came to creating her engagement ring, the provenance of the diamonds was particularly important to them both. We sourced a magnificent 8.14ct Fancy Intense Yellow radiant-cut diamond from the Ekati Diamond Mine in Canada's Northwest Territories, complemented by beautiful white diamonds from Australia.
Two countries, brought together in one extraordinary ring. What a privilege to have created something so personal.
Diamond Trilogy Engagement Ring
My client wanted to create a beautiful trilogy engagement ring.
We explored several ideas, but he loved the design featuring a central oval diamond flanked by two beautiful brilliant-cut diamonds.
Created in platinum, the result was a distinctive ring designed and made for a unique woman.
Radiant-Cut Diamond Ring
My client had seen a similar design elsewhere, but it was too large for her small hand.
So, we scaled down the design, ensuring the proportions were perfect for her hand. I chose a stunning 0.50ct radiant-cut diamond as the centre stone.
My client was thrilled - a bespoke diamond ring that suited her hand perfectly.

Just to say…well what can I say! I was speechless when I opened the box!
I absolutely love it and it has such sentimental value to us. We bought the sapphire from a good friend who is no longer with us… it makes a special piece. Thank you from my heart!

COMMON QUESTIONS
Before your first conversation
-
No. Many commissions begin with a feeling, an occasion or a piece of jewellery someone already loves. Christopher’s role is to help you shape that starting point into a design. If you have sketches, photographs or a clear idea, bring them. If not, a conversation is enough to begin.
-
Every commission is individually quoted. Your budget helps guide the gemstones, scale, precious metal and design choices, with a clear quotation agreed before making begins.
-
Once you have approved your design, it takes around 6-8 weeks to create your bespoke jewellery.
-
A single jewellery item is £95 + VAT. Each additional jewellery item assessed during the same appointment is £75 + VAT. A watch valuation is £125 + VAT. If you have several items, contact Christopher before booking so the appropriate appointment time can be arranged
What shall we make?
You do not need a finished idea, a conversation is enough
